These are some of the most basic formatting tasks in Word 2007. It’s helpful to get a strong understanding of these as they’ll save you so much time down the road. That’s the goal, right?
There are a lot of tricks to help you shortcut your work with headers and footers. We’ll post them on future blogs. For the meantime, these are listed for your basic knowledge.

How To Add A Header
1. Click on the “INSERT” tab.
2. Click on “Header” in the “Header & Footer” section.
3. Click on the style you would like (In this case we chose “Alphabet”).
4. The header is placed at the top of every page.
5. Write your title.
6. Click on “Close Header and Footer”.
7. The title will be placed at the top of every page.
How To Remove A Header
1. Click on the “INSERT” tab.
2. Click on “Footer” in the “Header & Footer” section.
3. Click on “Remove Footer”.
4. The footer will be removed from every page.
How to Add A Footer
1. Click on the “INSERT” tab.
2. Click on “Footer” in the “Header & Footer” section.
3. Click on the style you would like (In this case we chose “Alphabet”).

5. Insert your text.
6. Click on “Close Header and Footer”.
