6 Ways To Format Numbers in Excel

Here are some basic guidelines to help you learn how to format numbers in Excel 2007. Most of the stuff is easier than it looks.

How to Use the Number Format

1. Highlight the cells you want to format as numbers.

2. Click the “Home” tab.

3. Click the small arrow next to “Number”.

4. Click “Number”.

5. Click the format you want the numbers to appear in.

6. Click “OK”.

7. The data will be displayed as numbers.

1. Highlight the numbers you want to format as fractions.

2. Click on the “Home” tab.

3. In the “Number” area click on the “Format” menu.

4. Click on “Fraction”.
